Air Canada is the flag carrier of Canada providing flight services to millions of domestic and international travelers. Being a founding member of the world’s prestigious airlines’ group Star Alliance, Air Canada has a long list of destinations served by it. It was named as the best airline of North America by Global Traveler in 2020 and got APEX Diamond Status in January 2021 for its commendable efforts to manage the pandemic days. Montreal-Trudeau International Airport of Quebec is the serving headquarter with Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Vancouver International Airport being the other important hubs.

History
Air Canada was established as Trans-Canada airlines in 1936. It got its current name in 1965. It was privatized in 1988. Air Canada Rouge service started operations in July 2013. Air Canada App was introduced in 2011 which enabled the customers to utilize the services through its mobile app. It is considered the first airlines in North America that introduced electronic boarding passes through mobile check-in and introduced 2d bar codes printed on boarding passes.

Signature Class
Signature Class, earlier Business Class, is available on various wide-body aircraft like Boeing 767, Boeing 787, Boeing 777, and Airbus A330. This class is offered on most of the routes covered by Air Canada and serves millions of people. Signature Class has two pods-Executive Pod and Classic Pod that are equipped with best-in-class features. Business Class

Members of Star Alliance who have Gold Status, Members of Maple Leaf Club, Premium Rouge Altitude Super Elite, and Latitude, Comfort, or Flex fare ticket holders are provided with access to Maple Leaf Lounges. On-purchase access is also available if required. Members of Aeroplan, the frequent flyer program, are also eligible after they earned the prescribed limit of miles. Check-in
