Lufthansa in History

In 1926, Deutsche LuftHansa A. G. came into being in Berlin, Germany, and continued flight services until the Second World War. It was able to begin flight services only in April 1955 when the company was allowed to serve domestic passengers. Later, the company was bestowed with permission to begin flights for international destinations. Together with United Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Air Canada, and Thai Airways International, Lufthansa created an alliance on 14 May 1997.

Cabins

Economy Class

Lufthansa Airlines ensure its passengers are feeling comfortable and relaxing on its flights. Checked Baggage

Lufthansa Airlines offers checked baggage allowance for its passengers according to the route, class, or fare chosen by them. Passengers traveling in Economy Class are allowed to fly with a baggage item of 23 kg weight, while in Premium Economy Class, this baggage limit increases up to two baggage items of 23 kg each in weight. Business and First Class passengers get a privilege to come along with 2 and 3 baggage items of 32 kg each respectively.

Carry-on Baggage

The permissible weight limit in all cabins is 8 kg and the dimensions should be 55 x 40 x 23 cm while there is a variance in the number of items allowed. Passengers can carry only one bag in Economy and Premium Classes and in Business and First Classes, two bags are permitted.
